When I was planning out the Boxee tutorial video that I put out earlier this month, one of things that really bugged me was the inconsistent menus – how come there’s a “Library” option in the TV and Apps section, but nothing like it in the Movies section? If I wanted to do any browsing, I had to exit out of Boxee and go to Hulu’s website just to find out what to watch. By that point, I was usually just too lazy to fire up Boxee again and perform the requisite search.

Thankfully with the latest build of Boxee Beta, they’ve added a Movie Library, and new content from a variety of independent movie sites.

The bad news? The selection of movies that are freely available online at the moment is pretty poor. As you can see in the picture above, the Movie Library is currently populated with Bollywood movies, documentaries, and monster movies from the 50s. Hopefully things will improve as they continue to tweak it.
